The 10L1000 has many short comings that cause failures with engine tuning with common issues seen from the E clutch,torque converter and main drum just to name a few. They are a very problematic transmission. Unfortunately a fact of life of every 10 speed owner even in stock applications is the invadable main drum wear and eventual failures as a result of the wear. However with the right upgrades and build quality they can be made to be a much more reliable transmission. With our 10L1000's there are no stages we offer one build with everything we feel necessary for a reliable long lasting rebuild.
